Robert Duhaime runs Maine Long Gong — and, fittingly, he's the one who started the whole game.

Robert built Long Gong the hard way: one gong, a Savage Mark II, and a standing invitation to anyone who wanted to try to ring it. Years and thousands of rounds later he still holds the group's perfect-attendance record, through every kind of Maine weather.

“If you're ever in my neighborhood, give me a shout and we can go try it out.” — that has been the spirit of it from day one.
